Eminem branded ‘pathetic’ over Megan Thee Stallion reference
‘Houdini’ features a not-so-appreciated reference to Megen Thee Stallion’s shooting
Eminem is getting hate and criticism for making a reference to Megen Thee Stallion’s shooting while rapping the lyrics of his most recent track Houdini.
The lead single off his upcoming 12th studio album The Death of Slim Shady was released on Friday, and the drop instantly caused drama for the 51-year-old rapper to face.
A lyric caught the attention of fans and critics alike, as it seemed to make a reference to the 2020 accident where the Hiss hitmaker was shot in the feet by Tory Lanez.
“If I was to ask for Megan Thee Stallion if she would collab with me/Would I really have a shot at a feat?” Eminem raps.
The Oscar winner’s dig at the female rapper immediately prompted backlash from fans all over the social media, as the critics condemned his take to mock Megan Thee Stallion's 'traumatic' experience.
“F*** this guy. Men love to bring up traumatic moments in women’s lives for attention. Leave Megan alone,” protested a fan.
“This is so random & disgusting did he think he ate or something?” one wrote, as another chimed in, “This is such low hanging fruit. It's so unbelievably pathetic.”
