Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck’s marital problems intensified over financial differences

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's marital problems have recently worsened over financial and parenting disagreements.

A source spilled to OK! Magazine, JLo “really did think she and Ben would be endgame this time around,” after rekindling their romance in 2021.

Lopez and the Argo actor dated and got engaged in 2002, but called things off in 2004. They rekindled their romance a few years back and got married in 2022.

However, the outlet reported that JLo and Affleck sparked divorce rumours after living separately for quite some time.

The source told the outlet, “They are taking some space to work out whether or not the relationship is right for both of them.”

In Lopez's musical movie, This Is Me... Now: A Love Story, the couple noted how they are opposite from one another.

Affleck is not in favour of social media as he revealed to the outlet, “Getting back together, I said, ‘Listen, one of the things I don’t want is a relationship on social media. Then I sort of realised it’s not a fair thing to ask.”

“It’s sort of like, you’re gonna marry a boat captain, and you go, ‘Well, I don’t like the water. [We are] two people with different kinds of approaches trying to learn to compromise,” said the Deep Water actor.

Another source talked about their relationship dynamic, saying, “There is no question their different styles clash. After a while it causes tension in the relationship.”

“He is more introspective and private. She likes to open her heart to her fans and to the world. This makes them considerably different, and it has been difficult in the day-to-day relationship," disclosed the source.

The source added, “There have always been clashes in their styles, how they handle issues, and their actions, but nothing has stopped their love over the year. This is a great love story."

Meanwhile, Lopez is “committed to working on the marriage” and is pushing for them to get help.

“She's upset,” noted an insider.
