Punctuality is a virtue. It is also about valuing your time. A man found a time-tested way to encourage this habit.
A TikTok creator, Kylie, shared that her husband adopted the innovative method to ensure that their guests arrive on time for parties.
"My husband hates when people are late, so anytime he hosts, he gives VIP wristbands to people that show up on time and excludes late people from accessing a 'VIP section' of our house with better snacks and drinks," Kylie captioned the video.
Her video quickly went viral and amassed over 16.5 million views in just three days.
She said her husband despises tardiness. To deal with this, he created a 'VIP section' in their home, accessible only to those who arrive on time. He placed good-quality snacks and drinks in the VIP section, as an incentive for punctuality.
The online community appreciated his approach to giving rewards to punctual visitors. Many Internet users viewed it as positive reinforcement rather than a punishment for lateness.
"He's not punishing the late people, he's just rewarding the considerate ones," a user commented.
However, some other users expressed concerns about people suffering from 'time blindness', a common symptom of ADHD.
The users said that these ADHD people would be unfairly excluded.
