Jacqueline Fernandez recalled being advised to concentrate solely on her looks, conceal her age, and get a nose job.
In an interview with Brut India at Cannes, the 38-year-old actress-dancer shared some bad advice she received from an actor during her early days in Bollywood.
The Muder 2 actress further remembered discussing her diction classes with an actor at the gym.
Jacqueline remarked, "He was like, 'Listen, just focus on looking good. And you'll be fine.' And I actually think that was one of the worst pieces of advice I ever got being someone who was trying to make it in the film industry."
She also remembered a moment when she was nearing 30, and an actor suggested altering the age on her passport, revealing that he informed her that actresses in Bollywood struggle to find work once they reach 30.
Jacqueline said, "So that was really disappointing to hear, but women are getting films at every age in their careers right now. And I think that's an amazing thing.”
On her professional front, Jacqueline is presently involved in the production of the highly anticipated comedy film Welcome to the Jungle, set to release on 20 December, 2024.
