Kate Hudson recently revealed she took a whole year off from dating following advice from her "great" therapist.
The 45-year-old American actress and singer opened up about her dating hiatus on the latest episode of Call Her Daddy podcast.
When host Alex Cooper asked her about it, Hudson candidly responded, "I took a full year off. I was like, 'What?' I couldn’t flirt no yea, none of it."
Hudson described the experience as "great" and shared that it happened in her thirties.
"I was at that place where I was like, I don’t wanna keep repeating any patterns anymore, I have a great therapist who was, like, 'I can help you, but you have to do it,'" the Almost Famous star explained.
Furthermore, despite her love for flirting, which created little distraction, she remained committed to the process. "Basically, I was like, OK. Well, I guess I can’t even text guys," she said, adding that she refrained from sharing her number with men.
Within six months of therapy, the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days actress began to see things more clearly and stopped worrying about her phone.
She mentioned that even when men began texting her again, she had no desire to flirt, crediting this period of being single for helping her find her current fiancé, Danny Fujikawa.
