Prince William has been hailed for proving himself to be the ‘true heir’ of the British throne by stepping up for King Charles for a recent garden party.
The Prince of Wales gathered his royal cousins, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Peter Philips, and Zara Tindall, alongside 8,000 people at Buckingham Palace as rain poured in a scenic view.
Writing for News.com.au, royal commentator Daniela Elser reflected on his commitment to royal work aimed at public support, comparing it to his personality description by his brother, Prince Harry.
“In Harry’s account, his elder brother is jealous, petty, aggressive, screamed at him during the Sandringham Summit and was, on one occasion, allegedly violent. He also accused the prince’s office of briefing against him,” she wrote.
However, the royal author noted the future King of England has “proven himself to be a much more interesting and substantial player on the royal field.”
Daniela went on to point out William’s latest slew of royal engagements in the wake of dividing his time with caring for his cancer-stricken wife Kate Middleton.
She affirmed: “William may very well be a crap brother and have behaved horribly towards Harry but he is not as two-dimensional as he is often cast.”
