Great British Sewing Bee’s first episode 'infuriates' viewers: Here’s why
Esme Young and Patrick Grant returned to the Great British Sewing Bee as judges
The Great British Sewing Bee spoiled the new season in first episode.
According to the Daily Express, on Tuesday, May 21, the tenth season of the BBC’s program kicked off with returning judges, fashion designers Esme Young and Patrick Grant.
In addition, Kiell Smith-Bynoe took on the task of leading the season as the presenter after making his hosting debut in the 2023 Christmas special.
Throughout the episode, the show offered several sneak peeks to give viewers an idea of what to expect this season. However, it seemingly revealed too much, prompting fans to fume.
Viewers took to social media to express their frustration over the snippets revealing several outfits created by the contestants. They flooded X, formerly Twitter, with their complaints.
One user wrote, "Why show more or less every outfit made at the beginning....absolute joke... BBC have spoilt it…"
Another commented, "Why are they showing highlights? I find this infuriating I don’t want to see what’s getting made weeks ahead. Let’s meet the contestants and just get on with it."
A third fan chimed in saying, "Don't need to watch now that I've seen all the outfits."
Additionally, Neil ended up being the first contestant to face elimination from the series.
