Imran Khan spoke out about Aamir Khan and other family members' absence from award ceremonies.
During a recent episode of Chill Sesh, the 41-year-old actor mentioned that his family abstains from attending award shows due to their lack of fascination with the glamour of the industry.
The Mere Brother Ki Dulhan star stated that he was raised in a family where everyone was committed to their craft, yet none of them were captivated by the allure of fame and celebrity.
He divulged, “I grew up in a family of people, who dedicated themselves to the craft but none of them were enamoured by the glitz and the celebrity. What I was always taught was, ‘We take our craft seriously, we put our heart into that, the rest of it is sprinkling on the top, which you shouldn’t be enamoured with.’
Imran also reflected on events following his 2008 film release Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, disclosing experiencing a phase where award show organizers would reach out to him, seeking his availability.
He said that if his presence was uncertain, the organizers would say, "'Well, if you are coming, then, They don’t want to come out and directly talk about that thing. So, there were a bunch of these things which I felt were weird."
