John Travolta’s children want their father to get back into dating four years after their mother, Kelly Preston’s tragic death in 2020.
A source told In Touch that the actor’s two children, “Ella and Benjamin want him to start dating, but John is always making excuses. He says they have to come first.”
“Everyone wants him to be happy and fall in love again,” spilled an insider.
The source mentioned, “It’s been almost four years since Kelly passed and John still refuses to move on with his life.”
For the unversed, John’s late wife Kelly died due to cancer at age 57 after 29 years of their marriage.
After the death of his wife, John took a break from his acting career as the source noted, “John hasn’t been a part of anything he’s really passionate about.”
“And his religion doesn’t seem to be the biggest priority for him anymore, either. Since Kelly’s passing, he’s just not as connected to his faith as he once was,” revealed another insider.
The source explained, “John is afraid to open up and be vulnerable again, which is sad because he’s the kindest, nicest guy and has one of the biggest hearts of anyone in Hollywood.”
Meanwhile, a tipster opened up that John “considers himself married and says he will stay loyal to Kelly until the day he dies”.
“It's sad, but John has essentially taken a vow of celibacy for the rest of his life,” stated a source.
John can’t even think of “ever falling in love again after he says it would be a betrayal of Kelly's memory,” said an insider.
Their lives were so intertwined, it's very hard for him to go on,” added an insider.
