MrBeast's donation to a teenage gamer changed his life as he now earns $25,000 a month on YouTube, BBC reported.
Tom Gardiner, who goes by the name ReniDrag on YouTube, is an 18-year-old gamer from Aberdare, Rhondda Cynon Taf.
Gardiner, inspired by content creators such as PewDiePie and Doug Doug, decided to begin streaming videos of himself gaming in 2017.
What started as a hobby for him has now turned into a full-time career, thanks to MrBeast, aka Jimmy Donaldson.
The incredible turning point for him came in 2021, when during a regular gaming stream, the millionaire YouTuber jumped into his live stream and initially donated £700, followed by another £2,000.
"Minecraft is all about mining, and the challenge was to find a diamond. He set me the challenge to create a portal, and I was able to do that too," said Gardiner.
In total, MrBeast gave Gardiner £10,000.
Gradiner in a podcast said, "The whole thing really inspired me to knuckle down and work hard to try and become a YouTuber full-time, MrBeast's gave me the boost. And it snowballed from there."
Since then, Gardiner has been earning £25,000 a month and has recently purchased a new car, a bath tub for family, and a vacation to Florida.
