Jerry Seinfeld recently roasted his excessive ‘Unfrosted’ press tour on Saturday Night Live.
Seinfeld joined SNL’s weekend update to stir up a laugh on his press tour for his Netflix film Unfrosted.
Colin Jost introduced the star as someone who “did much press” for his film, marking his directorial debut.
Joining the show this weekend, Seinfeld pretended to be unsure of where he was.
He asked Jost: “Where am I exactly? Is this a podcast?”
Responding to his question, Jost explained that he was being casted live on the show, promoting his Netflix film “everywhere.”
When Seinfeld was asked to comment on press, he exclusively remarked: “You don’t know until someone who cares about you shows you a video package and you see yourself with people with these names like Hoda, Mo Rocca, Chanel, Vlad.”
Referring to Ryan Gosling’s sense of humor and looks, he added: “I know I can’t undo all the press I’ve done but I want to help other people. If you’re struggling with press, you’re not alone. I’m talking to you, Ryan Gosling.”
“When I started doing press for ‘Unfrosted,’ I was like you. Funny, good looking. Now look at me. You think this is how I wanted to spend my 26th birthday? But you can get clean,” he added.
However, the skit came to an end with Seinfeld receiving a call from Univision. He specifically asked Jost to look for him on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
For the unversed, Unfrosted began streaming on Netflix on Thursday, May 2.
