‘Lord of the Rings’ stars reunite ahead of Liverpool Comic Con
Dominic Monaghan, Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood, and Billy Boyd went out for drinks
Lord of the Rings co-stars Dominic Monaghan, Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood, and Billy Boyd reunited before the group’s upcoming appearance at Liverpool Comic Con.
Offering a glimpse into their all-boys escapade, Monaghan posted a picture on Instagram with a caption that reads, "3 hobbits, an elf and the CONVERSATION tonight was VAULTED."
In the snapshot, the actor, who played Merry Brandybuck in the fantasy adventure trilogy, featured himself with his three other castmates.
They all held wide grins on their faces as they posed while raising their shot glasses high in the air.
In addition to fans’ adoration, Liv Tyler, who played Lady Arwen in the Lord of the Rings, couldn’t contain her excitement. With a series of heart-eye emojis, she commented, "Ohhhhhh, too much."
One day earlier, Monaghan teased the reunion by posting a throwback photograph of the quartet with a caption, "This weekend we form like Voltron at #liverpoolcomiccon."
In the comments section, Bloom chimed in to add, "Best photo [red heart emoji]."
Meanwhile, it is pertinent to note that this was not the first time that the Lord of the Rings co-stars reunited since the film trilogy was wrapped in 2003.
All four actors played significant roles in getting the One Rings to Mordor on the widely lauded Peter Jackson-directed series.
