Some royal commentators and insiders believe that Prince Harry will meet his cancer-stricken dad King Charles next week even after Meghana Markle's bombshell decision to ditch the UK trip for Nigeria.

The Duke of Sussex will be in the country of his birth to mark the10th anniversary of Invictus Games at St Paul's Cathedral in London on May 8, but his wife Meghan will stay in Montecito with their kids as she's not keen on making a return to be "booed".

However, the Duchess of Sussex will join Harry in Nigeria soon after the event, which some sees as a snub to the UK and its people.

Harry, who's set to give a speech on Tuesday at his event in London, will accommodate in a hotel during his stay as he handed back the keys of Frogmore Cottage las June after being evicted from his royal residence.

Harry will pay the second visit of the year to his father next week, with King Charles said to be finding gaps in his diary to meet his younger son.

A public relations guru, who specialises in royal commentary, has claimed: "The two will be in London, just two miles apart, as King Charles, while it won’t be confirmed until the day, will likely host the first Kings Garden party of the summer and Harry will be attending the Invictus Ceremony at St Paul's."

Lynn Carratt told the Mirror: "Both events are scheduled to finish around 6pm, leaving time for an evening meeting. Given that Harry had last visited the UK after his father's cancer diagnosis, it seems probable that they would want to meet."

A source recently told the outlet: "Harry has kept in regular contact with his father on several occasions and made no secret of his desire to see him when he can.

"The Duke has been especially concerned about him and hopes the King will be well and able to see him as planned."

Lynn does not see Harry-William reunion, saying: "However, it seems unlikely that Prince William will be part of the reunion. He is likely to be out of London and has engagements booked in for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly for next Thursday or Friday.

"Though Prince Harry is said to be travelling alone, it would have been nice if he could bring his children along to spend some time with their grandfather, but it seems unlikely at the moment."

On the other hand, Page Six reports: "A well-placed London socialite who knows the brothers" has now confirmed that "Harry had invited William" to the Invictus Games service, with "other members" also invited. Reports claim he got "no response."
