Both players took to social media platform X on Wednesday, the first day of Eid, to extend their well wishes.
Ronaldo posted a picture of himself in white, accompanied by the message "Eid Mubarak! Wishing you all joy, peace and happiness on this special day."
His post garnered a significant response, exceeding 425,000 likes and 36,000 retweets at the time of writing. Fans responded with messages of love and gratitude, with some even calling him the "greatest of all time" (GOAT).
Karim Benzema opted for a short video message, offering greetings in both French and Arabic. He said, "Salam alaikum, Eid Mubarak to you all, and may Allah accept from us all."
While not as widely shared as Ronaldo's post, Benzema's video still received substantial engagement, exceeding 80,000 likes and 7,800 retweets.
