Kiran Rao acknowledged that her ex-husband Aamir Khan doesn't watch many films and shared insights into their family time with Azad.
During a conversation with Abhira Dhar on NDTV, the 50-year-old actor discussed her bond with Aamir on the sets of Swades and what continues to unite them.
The Laapataa Ladies director also disclosed that the 58-year-old actor isn't much into watching movies and even in his younger days, he wasn't much of a film buff, preferring reading instead.
Kiran shared, “I think we connected a lot on books and retelling of incidents.”
She also mentioned that Aamir has a great sense of humor.
Kiran said, “He used to really crack me up and I think that is what really started us off. In general, we connected a lot on the kinds of things that are important to us, just socially as human beings. Telling the kind of stories that we want to tell."
Discussing their son Azaad Rao, the Dhobi Ghat director humorously remarked that they attempt to encourage him to watch films, but he isn't fond of them.
Revealing how Aamir and their son Azaad spend quality time, Kiran said, “When we get together, often it's sports. It’s like playing pickleball or going for a swim. Spending time with his grandparents is what we do together. Boardgames, that is what we do a lot as a family.”
