Taylor Swift’s closest friends Selena Gomez and Blake Lively have never been spotted together as a group.
A source spilled to DailyMail.com that Blake and Selena aren't the same type of person and, in fact, they serve different purposes as friends in Taylor's life.
The source revealed that there is “bad blood between Blake and Selena” which is why they would like to spend time with the pop icon separately.
“This is the reason neither of them is ever with Taylor at the same time and are constantly avoiding run-ins with each other,” shared an insider.
For the unversed, Selena first became pals with Taylor and then entered Blake in 2015.
“Swiftie' sleuths have tried desperately to figure out why Selena – an avid football fan – wasn’t in attendance at the Super Bowl. Instead, she simply commented a sad face emoji and a black heart on a photo of the singer with her pals at the final,” said another source.
The source told the outlet Selena and Taylor were seen plenty of times at the Golden Globes and last year's annual Fourth of July party that Taylor threw at her Rhode Island home.
Blake, on the other hand, was spotted with Taylor at three football games when the singer went to support boyfriend Travis Kelce.
However, the actress and popstar were often seen together going out to dinner in New York City.
Another source revealed, “For a good hangout and good party, you know who to invite and who not to invite. Taylor knows not to mix Blake and Selena in the same room and that it must be two separate nights.”
“Blake enjoys the perks of being a celebrity. She loves to have fun. If there is something fun going down, Taylor wants to be a part of it and it is contagious. This is something that everyone, including Taylor, loves about Blake. She knows that, no matter what, she is going to have a good time and lots of laughs when she is out with Blake,” explained an insider.
The source added, “Selena just plays a different role in Taylor's life. It is as simple as that.”
