Days of Our Lives actor Stephen Schnetzer recently revealed that he has been invited to the NBC-turned-Peacock soap, almost five decades after he starred as Steve Olson.
During an episode of YouTube show The Locher Room on Friday, March 29, Schnetzer exclaimed: "I have an announcement to make — breaking news."
"As far as I know, next week I’m flying out to L.A. I hope I’m not giving anything up, but they’ve asked Steve Olson to come back for a couple of episodes. I’ll say no more than that," he further added.
Schnetzer’s announcement took the internet by storm, sparking excitement among his fans.
One person took to the YouTube comments section, noting: “Get out! That is great news!”
While another user exclaimed: “Yay! So excited, Stephen!”
The actor who played Steve, son of Addie Horton and Ben Olson on Days of Our Lives from 1978 to 1980, also reflected back on the time when he started working on the show after doing theater for eight years.
For the unversed, the actor recently guest-starred on various shows, including Billions, Elementary, and The Endgame.
In addition, Schnetzer also appeared in the film Nyad alongside Jodie Foster among others.
