Barbara Rush, dynamic TV actress and film star, passes away at 97
Barbara Rush's daughter confirmed the actress died on Easter
Award-winning actress Barbara Rush breathed her last on Sunday, March 31, at the age of 97.
The news was confirmed by the late actress’ daughter Claudia Cowen in a statement to Fox News Digital.
"My wonderful mother passed away peacefully at 5:28 this evening. I was with her this morning and know she was waiting for me to return home safely to transition," Cowan shared.
"It’s fitting she chose to leave on Easter as it was one of her favorite holidays and now, of course, Easter will have a deeper significance for me and my family."
The cause of death is currently unclear; though, it could be presumed she may have died of natural causes due to her old age.
Barbara Rush had a spectacular career spanning over seven decades since the ‘50s. She worked with the likes of Paul Newman, Rock Hudson, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and others on the big screen in films like, Prince of Pirates and Taza, and Son of Cochise among others.
She then transitioned to television, leaving her inedible mark with her talent and skills by working in 100+ shows, such as Dr. Kildare, All My Children, The Fugitive, Ben Casey, and Mannix.
The late actress is also known for playing Grandma Ruth Camden in TV series, 7th Heaven, which ran from 1996 until 2007.
Rush also won the Golden Globe Award for her performance in the 1953 American science-fiction film, It Came from Outer Space.
