Future & Metro Boomin's breaks records with 2024's biggest week for album
Future & Metro Boomin's collaborative album hits No. 1 on Billboard 200
Future and Metro Boomin have struck gold with their latest collaborative effort, as their album We Don't Trust You makes an impressive debut at the top of the Billboard 200 chart for the week ending April 6, 2024.
This accomplishment marks a significant milestone for both artists, with Future securing his ninth No. 1 album and Metro Boomin earning his fourth.
According to data from Luminate, We Don't Trust You soared to the summit of the chart with a remarkable 251,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States during the week ending March 28.
This achievement not only represents the largest week for any album in 2024 but also stands as Future's second-largest week ever and Metro Boomin's most successful week to date.
The album's impressive performance can be attributed primarily to streaming activity, underscoring the dominance of digital platforms in today's music landscape.
Billboard 200 sees other notable entries, with Olivia Rodrigo's Guts experiencing a significant surge from 18 to 2 following a deluxe reissue featuring additional tracks.
Furthermore, Hozier's latest four-song EP, Unheard, makes a solid entry at No. 10, propelled predominantly by the streaming success of its hit track Too Sweet.
Each unit on the Billboard 200 chart represents either one album sale, the sale of 10 individual tracks from an album, or a specific number of on-demand audio and video streams generated by songs from an album.
Specifically, 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand streams equate to one album unit.
