Farah Khan shared her challenges with conception during the filming of Om Shanti Om and also discussed Shah Rukh Khan's involvement before, during, and after the birth of her triplets.
During an interview on the Nova IVF Fertility YouTube channel, the 59-year-old director revealed that during the filming of Om Shanti Om, she conceived, and Shah Rukh took special care to ensure her comfort on set.
She discussed undergoing artificial insemination procedures before and after the shoot, even though the clinic was situated quite a distance away from the set.
Farah also recalled instances when she would return to the set in tears after facing initial setbacks, with Shah Rukh noticing her distress on one occasion.
She shared, “For the first five-six months, there were only lows, because they were retrieving eggs and planting them, and I don’t know how many times I must have gone under general anesthesia. The first time I went to the doc I was so sure that I was pregnant, but I literally got my period in her office."
"So I used to be sobbing all the way back to the shoot. One day, in the middle of the day, I got a call from the doctor, and she said it’s not happened this time."
"We were shooting a comic scene, and Shah Rukh knew something was wrong, because I was going to cry. So, he called for a break and took me into his van, where I’ve sobbed for one hour.”
