Millie Bobby Brown has recently faced backlash after she revealed she “hates” waiting for food to arrive at restaurants.
Speaking on the Table Manners podcast, the Stranger Things actress lashed out at waiting staff for ordering drinks and meals separately and for not taking payment at the same time as giving her the bill.
In a clip via Instagram, Millie told the podcast host, “You know what I hate, waiting a really long time to order.”
“I've already looked at the menu in the car on the way here and when they’re like, ‘We’ll just get your drinks orders and then come back,’ I’m like ‘No, no, no, stand here, let’s just take the whole thing. It will make your life easier,” explained Millie.
The Enola Holmes actress continued, “And then waiting for the bill, you know when they put it down on the table but then come back half an hour later?”
Her confession didn’t go well with her fans as they called her “rude and entitled” for treating waiting staff with “such disrespect”.
“Everyone you complain about is underpaid, and you’re not, nor have you ever struggled,” one commented.
Another remarked, “Tell me you’ve never worked in hospitality, without actually telling me you never worked in hospitality.”
“Waiters stall with drinks so the kitchen doesn’t get swamped and they don’t get yelled at by chefs,” shared a third user.
Meanwhile, Millie also opened up about leaving reviews of hotels and restaurants.
“My whole life is people criticising me, so I’m going to give it back to you,” stated the actress.
Millie recalled she was at a hotel and the woman pulled her fiancé aside to settle the bill and she was like “settle it now”.
“So, I left a review that said ‘I really think you should encourage guests to complete transactions at the end of their stay, I think it’s important,’” added the actress.
