Meryl Streep and Martin Short may have a budding romance.
Streep and Short appeared at a Broadway show together in New York City, Saturday night
The Only Murders in the Building co-stars were spotted together viewing Merryly We Roll Along at the Hudson Theatre in snaps shared by the play’s cast.
The pair’s date follows claims made by close friends of Streep, 74, and Short, 73, that both may have a “friends with benefits” relationship, as per Daily Mail.
But despite multiple claims and the online pressure, both have denied the romance rumours, and claimed to be “just very good friends”.
The picture in question highlighting Streep and Short at the Broadway Show was shared by Corey Mach on Instagram, who is a cast member of the theatre.
“That’s All,” he captioned the post.
Fans also spotted Streep and Short together at the show and shared the moment on social media.
The pair’s theatre date follows months of fans’ speculation about the two dating each other, which was ignited after they put on a cosy display at award shows.
However, as mentioned before, the claims have been continuously denied by the pair, with Short once pressing that they are “good friends, nothing more”.
