Kim Tae-hyung, widely known by his stage name V, released his new track FRI(END)S on Friday, which became his highest-ranking solo single on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global Chart.
According to Allkpop, the BTS sensation entered the music streaming Daily Top Songs Chart at number seven within the first week of its release.
BTS’ entertainment company, Big Hit Music, reported on March 17 that FRI(END)S had amassed a whopping 4.728+ million plays on the first day of its release that contributed to its landing on seventh position on the latest global charts.
The significant number was an achievement for the Dynamite vocalist, as the agency elaborated that his digital solo single has claimed three positions higher than his previous best-ranking single, Love Me Again, from his debut solo album Layover.
Additionally, it was previously revealed that the witty romantic musical feast has soared to global success, topping the iTunes Top Songs chart in about 87 countries, including the U.S., within 24 hours of its release.
The music video of the all-English track by the 29-year-old South Korean hitmaker also crossed 10 million views on YouTube, with the video deemed a trending one on YouTube in various countries.
