RECAP: When Dwayne Johnson said Cristiano Ronaldo buys his Instagram followers
Cristiano Ronaldo has 624 million followers on Instagram but they may not be real
Cristiano Ronaldo is the centre of the talk again, as this time he is being pulled by Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson.
The Portuguese player has garnered a lot of global attention due to his influence, as well as the minor and major controversies, according to Essentially Sports.
Though, he is one of the most followed players in the world with 624 million people following him on Instagram, but Dwayne Johnson believes that he bought his fans
An old video from 2021 has shown him saying, “Oh my God! He’s been paying for his followers for years,” when asked if he had any message for the Al Nassr captain.
As soon as he said that, he went on affirming that it was a joke. However, his remarks have Ronaldo's fans wondering if his Instagram followers are real.
Ronaldo became the most-paid person on Instagram in 2021. He is said to have made $1.6 million per post while The Rock was second at $1.52 million per post.
In addition, his Facebook page is also recorded to have the most followers, but he doesn't have much fan following on X, with Elon Musk and others sur[assing him.
