Boxing legend Mike Tyson is all set to face off against YouTuber turned-boxer Jake Paul on July 20 in a match that will be streamed live on Netflix, NBC reported.
The match will take place at the AT&T stadium, home to the National Football League (NFL) Dallas Cowboys which has a seating capacity of 80,000.
The event will mark Netflix’s entry into sports programming and live entertainment. The company recently signed a 10-year contract with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), earning exclusive rights to air its most-watched show "RAW" starting from January 2025.
Tyson, 57, in a statement said, "I'm very much looking forward to stepping into the ring with Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. He's grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a 'kid' can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT."
Tyson regarded as one of the best in the boxing world, won the title of the youngest heavyweight champion, merely at the age of 20.
While Paul began his career as an internet influencer gaining thousands of followers, however in 2018 he pivoted to boxing.
He said, "It's crazy to think that in my second pro fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson's undercard. Now, less than four years later, I'm stepping up to face Tyson myself to see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxing's most notorious fights and biggest icons."
