Bill Gates lauds Ambani wedding extravaganza, says 'one thing stands out'
Gates expressed gratitude for opportunity to reconnect with old friends during pre-wedding festivities
Co-founder of tech-giant Microsoft and one of the most notable attendees at Anant Ambani's pre-wedding celebration, Bill Gates, voiced his admiration for India's richest family, Mint reported.
Gates highlighted the warm "hospitality" extended by Mukesh and Nita Ambani, in an Instagram post featuring himself, his girlfriend Paula Hurd, Mukesh Ambani, and Anant Ambani.
"As I reflect on the past week in India, one thing stands out: The incredible hospitality everyone showed Paula and me, especially from Mukesh and Nita at the beautiful celebration of their son Anant and his fiancée Radhika," Gates said reflecting on his week-long stay in India.
Acknowledging the uniqueness of the experience, Gates, who also attended a wedding celebration in India for the first time, praised the event's grandeur. In another post featuring Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani and his wife, Gates expressed gratitude for the opportunity to reconnect with old friends during the pre-wedding festivities.
The lavish three-day celebration of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Gujarat's Jamnagar from 1-3 March drew attention from high-profile guests, including Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg, Rihanna, Indian billionaires Gautam Adani and Kumar Mangalam Birla, cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni, and Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif.
Anant Ambani, 28, is scheduled to marry Radhika Merchant in July. As Mukesh Ambani transitions leadership to his children, Anant has been inducted into the new energy business, marking a significant move for the Ambani family.
