Jason Momoa stuns in Guinness ad, hypes up 'Dune: Part Two'
Jason Momoa declares 'Dune: Part Two' as a 'masterpiece'
Jason Momoa is having a moment! Not only did the actor land a dream job directing a new commercial for Guinness, but he's also singing the praises of the upcoming sequel, Dune: Part Two.
The commercial, which debuted on social media on Wednesday and will air on TV spots the following week, opens with Momoa learning that he is 2 per cent Irish. The viewer follows him as he races out of a sushi restaurant to start the festivities by running across town to a bar.
“My whole company is in it, we produced it, I co-directed it with my best friend and then I wrote it with another best friend. My mom’s in it. My kids aren’t of legal age, but if they were, I would’ve run past them or done some sort of action scene with them,” says Momoa of the family affair, which he co-directed and produced with Brian Mendoza, his longtime creative partner. “It abso-fucking-lutely is my dream job.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Momoa, a self-proclaimed Guinness enthusiast, co-directed the new ad campaign alongside his best friend. The commercial, which premiered online this week with TV spots set to follow, features Momoa discovering his newfound Irish heritage (a fun fact revealed by a DNA test) and celebrating with a spirited pub run.
But that's not all. Momoa also revealed he's seen Dune: Part Two a whopping twice already, and according to him, it's a masterpiece. "It's a freaking masterpiece," he enthusiastically told reporters. With anticipation for the film already high, Momoa's strong endorsement is sure to further excite fans.
