As The Gentlemen is set to rock Netflix on March 7, Guy Ritchie reflected on the survival game waiting for the viewers in the new gangster flick.
Netflix Tudum recently published that the creator and co-writer of the Netflix series, adapted from the 2020 movie of the same name, delved into the narrative depths.
"It’s a sojourn into aristocrats meeting the world of gangsters," Ritchie, who also directed the first two episodes of the series, pointed out.
"That’s really what the show is about — the evolution from zoo to jungle and how to hunt in the jungle and survive," he said during a behind-the-scenes featurette.
Additionally, the cast member Kaya Scodelario, co-starring The White Lotus star Theo James in Ritchie's new work, raved about the creator.
"What makes it a Guy Ritchie show is that it’s fast-paced, the editing is smooth and interesting, the cuts are sharp, and the story comes at you," she said.
Earlier in November 2023, the showrunner of the mafia suspense romp told the publication, "The world of The Gentlemen is a little bit of me."
"We’re looking forward to bringing fans back into that world, introducing new characters and their stories, and I am excited to be doing it with this extremely talented cast," he noted.
