Josh Brolin seems a bit too “excited” for hosting Saturday Night Live for a third time, and exhibits his feelings in the show’s recent promo.
Brolin, who recently starred in Dune: Part 2, walks into SNL's Studio 8H in the promo, with cast members Molly Kearney and Devon Walker enjoying a game of hoops.
Josh greets them and asks, “Hey, guys, playing some hoops.” Devon greets back and asks him if he wants to play too.
The Deadpool star gets handed the basketball and decides to go hard on the cast members, calling walker “chump”.
The actor, 56, then proceeds to make some dunks, screaming “Kareem” and “Thanos” at two of them.
“Anything’s possible!,” Brolin exclaims in the end, soon getting into his senses and apologising for his aggressive behaviour.
“Sorry,” he says. “I’m just excited to be here.”
“This is gonna be a fun week, for sure,” he adds, as the name of his musical guest appears on the screen.
“You guys are super talented,” he concludes, after revealing his chance to host Ariana Grande on the show.
Brolin has hosted on SNL two times in the past, in April 2012 and in October 2008.
