Fans of the long-running crime drama NCIS rejoice. Beloved former cast members Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly are set to reprise their roles as Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo in a brand new series on Paramount+, marking their return to the NCIS universe after a decade.
The untitled, 10-episode series will be set in the romantic city of Paris, France. Details of the plot are still under wraps, but it is understood to pick up from where Ziva and Tony's story left off in NCIS season 17. This includes their reunion in Paris after Ziva was presumed dead and the revelation of their daughter, Tali.
De Pablo, who left the original series in 2013, expressed her excitement about the return: "I'm thrilled to be diving back into Ziva David's world with Michael and the rest of the 'NCIS' family. Paris is the perfect backdrop for this new chapter, and I can't wait for audiences to see what we have in store."
Weatherly, who departed NCIS in 2016, echoed de Pablo's enthusiasm: "Coming back to 'NCIS' with Cote is like coming home for me. I'm incredibly excited to revisit Tony and explore this new chapter in his life alongside Ziva."
The series will be written and executive-produced by showrunner John McNamara, who also wrote the premiere episode. De Pablo and Weatherly will also serve as executive producers. Production is slated to begin later this year in Europe.
This news comes as the NCIS franchise continues to expand, with NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: Hawai'i already finding success on CBS.
