Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos seem to still feel like newlyweds, as the couple recreated a romantic photo from their wedding 28 years ago in May 1996, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“Viva Las Vegas, Then, Now,” Ripa captioned a post on Instagram on Wednesday, February 28, alongside a throwback picture of the couple standing face to face on their nuptials day.
They put the picture comparing it with a present-day snap, with them recreating the exact same pose at the very same chapel where they said “I do.”
Ripa, 53, and Consuelos, 52 were hit with memories going back to the Chapel of the Bells after all these years of getting married at the very location.
This time, the couple went there to officiate a young couple’s wedding ceremony, as both of them are ordained ministers.
The wedding aired during Wednesday’s episode of Live With Kelly and Mark.
“Some of those feelings came back as I drove up. I started getting sweaty,” Consuelos told Ripa during the segment.
“We were 25-year-olds. Our son [Michael] is 26. It doesn’t make any sense. In a city where people roll the dice every day here, this is one of the safest bets I’ve made.”
