A grieving spouse is holding careless employees responsible after a New York University doctor passed away soon after dining at a Disney restaurant in Florida, as per a complaint filed with authorities.
Doctor Kanokporn Tangsuan of the esteemed NYU Langone Hospital in Manhattan passed away unexpectedly on October 5 following dinner at Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant at Disney Springs, according to New York Post.
In a 19-page lawsuit filed in Orange County, Florida circuit court, her husband Jeffrey Piccolo accuses Walt Disney Parks and Resorts of carelessness, citing Tangsuan's unequivocal disclosure to the wait staff of her nut and dairy sensitivities.
After Tangsuan verified several times, the pub's personnel insisted they could prepare food devoid of allergens, according to the lawsuit.
Tangsuan placed an order for onion rings, scallops and broccoli and corn fritters.
She started feeling unwell after dinner and left the restaurant to tour the shopping centre.
She went into Planet Hollywood, where she started to have serious respiratory problems and passed out.
She was given an EpiPen right away, but the lawsuit claimed that she eventually passed away in a nearby hospital.
