Varun Dhawan mourned the death of late actor Rituraj Singh, recalling their time on Badrinath ki Dulhaniya
Varun Dhawan recently took to his Instagram Stories, mourning the death of actor Rituraj Singh, who played his father in the film Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya.
Rituraj, who is known for signature roles in TV shows, including Banegi Apki Baat and Anupama, passed away on Monday, February 20, at the age of 59.
Actor Amit Bahl broke the news, confirming his friend’s death. He shared: "Yes, he passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was admitted to a hospital some time back for treatment of pancreas, returned home, had some cardiac complications, and passed away."
Meanwhile, Varun recalled working with Rituraj in Badrinath, noting: "#RIP Rituraj sir, had such a wonderful time working with him and had just met him few months back on the sets of 'Baby John'. Om Shanti!"
The 59-year-old began his career with Barry John’s theatre action group.
The late actor also became friends with Shah Rukh Khan in the process.
Many celebrities from the industry, mourned his death, including Hansal Mehta and Arshad Warsi among others.
