King Charles III has reportedly sent a stern message to Prince Harry that he can not return to the Firm as working royal even after his willingness to serve the monarchy amid royal health scares.
The 75-year-old monarch is set on the thoughts that the Duke of Sussex has no role in the monarchy despite his apparent attempt to heal rift with the family.
It emerges amid reports that Harry is ready to accept royal duty if the monarch offers him, but experts believe that the King has no intention to welcome him back as working royal.
The Duke of Sussex's recent moves suggest as he is open to a temporary return to his role following his dad's cancer diagnosis as he even traveled to the UK to meet him and appeared to be grateful for his gesture in a latest interview.
However, sources close to Charles, claimed that the warm meeting hasn't changed things, with the King "firmly of the opinion" there is no way back to the royal fold for Harry. However, the King would be open to fixing his strained relationship with his son.
"Have the King and Harry been speaking? Yes. Does this mean a return to the fold even on a temporary basis? No," one source told Daily Mail.
"Aside from a small number of investitures, the King does not plan to offload a great number of duties on other family members while he undergoes treatment," they added.
Others made it clear that the royal family are in "solid agreement" that the so-called "Sandringham Summit" but be upheld, after the late Queen said in January 2020 that any "half-in, half-out" approach by Harry simply couldn't work.
A source recently told Page Six: "I have a hard time believing if his dad asks for his help that Harry would say no, I think he would try." But the insider added: "I don't think it's something that Harry would ask [to do] on his own."
On the other hand, Prince William will also not support any such move as he has lost all his trust in Harry.
