Who is greatest US president of all time?
In honour of Presidents Day, Presidential Greatness Project new ranking of US presidents from top to bottom
President's Day is here. It is the celebration and recognition of all 46 United States presidents up to date, Fox News reported.
When it first came into existence in 1879, it was meant to celebrate just one man, the first US president, George Washington.
The day was turned into a federal holiday by a bill signed by then-president Rutherford Hayes. Since then, it is celebrated on the third Monday of every February.
In honour of Presidents Day, here is a new ranking of US presidents from top to bottom conducted by the Presidential Greatness Project.
According to the results, Abraham Lincoln was ranked as America's greatest president at number 1.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt came in second, George Washington third, Theodore Roosevelt fourth, and Thomas Jefferson fifth.
Joe Biden was placed ahead of Woodrow Wilson at number 13, Ronald Reagan at number 16, and George Bush at number 32. Former president Barack Obama was ranked no 7.
Donald Trump received the lowest ranking in the survey at 45, placing below James Buchanan at 44th, Andrew Johnson at 43rd, Franklin Pierce at 42nd, and William Henry Harrison at 41st.
The respondents were asked to rank presidents on a scale of 0-100, with 0 being a failure, 50 being average, and 100 being great.
The survey claimed that while respondents's political affiliation and ideology were monitored, they "tended not to make a major difference overall" in the rankings.
