Aamir Khan’s co-star, Suhani Bhatnagar who played the role of Babita Phogat in his starrer, Dangal, passed away at 19, after battling health issues.
Bhatnagar had previously been admitted to All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) hospital in Delhi after her medications acted out, causing fluid accumulation in her body.
According to various media outlets, this came after the actress fractured her leg and was rushed to emergency instantly.
Aamir Khan’s production house was quick to take the news on X, formerly known as Twitter, expressing grief over the death of the 19-year-old actress: “We are deeply saddened to hear about our Suhani passing away. Our heartfelt condolences to her mother Poojaji, and the entire family.
"Such a talented young girl, such a team player, Dangal would have been incomplete without Suhani. Suhani, you will always remain a star in our hearts. May you rest in peace.”
Suhani was last seen sharing screen space with the Laal Singh Chadda actor, Aamir Khan. She played the role of the young ‘Babita Phogat’ in the Bollywood blockbuster Dangal.
The actress previously shared pictures from sets of the film, recalling the times spent together.
