Prince William may have suspected that his estranged brother Prince Harry would be making a return to the royal fold.
The Prince of Wales, who is not on speaking terms with Harry, has no plans to meet with the Duke of Sussex, let alone reconcile.
The two siblings have been at odds before the Harry stepped back from his senior working royal position alongside his wife Meghan Markle. The feud worsened in 2023 when Harry released his bombshell memoir Spare.

Prince William was painted in negative light in the memoir by his sibling and the royal has not yet forgiven him for that. Royal commentator Rafe Heydel-Mankoo suggested to GB News that William still “doesn’t trust” Harry.
He pointed out that William made no plans to meet his younger brother when he dashed to visit his cancer-stricken father in the UK. Heydel-Mankoo stated that William is “fearful that any private conversations will be made public in a book or a TV interview.”
“The fact that Harry is now going to appear on television, days after meeting with the King, I think it might make Prince William think that he was right to be cautious,” he said.

“No one actually wants a family to be constantly at loggerheads. We know full well that the King has hoped that Prince Harry would prove to be a prodigal son, and for that very reason he's always kept a door open to him.”
Although, William, who is next in line to the throne, will not be pleased if Prince Harry were to return to the UK, or worse for him, resume his royal duties.
