Alia Bhatt recently revealed her intentions behind producing Darlings and the launch of her upcoming project, Poacher.
Speaking exclusively to Pinkvilla, the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress opened up about her experience as a producer, revealing the reason behind producing films like Darlings, Poacher, and her third production Jigra, in which she also stars.
The 30-year-old actress shared that she considered connecting to viewers on a human level, through emotions. Referring to the first factor, Alia shed light on why it’s important to vouch for a movie that does justice to the audience and their feelings.
After stating her first and foremost duty as an actor-turned producer, the Student of the Year alum further added that she considered entertainment an important aspect of the film.
She shared that it’s equally crucial for the film to be entertaining for the audience and soothing to eyes, bringing out a good laugh.
The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani star offered an insight into the creation of Poacher, sharing that she was “heavily pregnant” with Raha when director Richie Mehat offered her the script.
The series revolves around real-life events, starring Nimisha Sajayan, Roshan Mathew, Dibyendu Bhattarcharya, Ankith Madhav, Kani Kusruti, Suraj Pops among others.
The series is all set to premiere starting from February 23 onwards.
