Taylor Swift celebrates huge milestone: I’m ‘completely starstruck’
Taylor Swift just played to her biggest crowd yet in Melbourne, Australia
Taylor Swift is utterly starstruck.
The international pop star kicked off the Australian leg of her ongoing Eras Tour on Friday to one of her biggest crowds yet at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.
“This is the biggest show that we have done on this tour or any tour I have ever done,” Swift told the audience in a clip from the record-breaking concert circulating online.
“That’s the version you get of me tonight, the version that’s completely starstruck by the fact that so many of you wanted to hang out with us on a Friday night in Melbourne,” she gushed.
The multi-Grammy-winner has previously played to some pretty impressive crowds, including one of 74,000 at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey in May.
However, with a crowd of 96,000 at the sold-out Melbourne show, Swift marked her return to Australia after eight years with a record-breaking performance.
She is now set to perform at the same venue again on Saturday, Feb 17 and Sunday, Feb 18 before jetting off to Sydney for next weekend’s shows at the Accor Stadium.
