Election Day is officially here! As Pakistanis all over the world sit in anticipation, waiting for their new leader, many celebrities are using their social media platforms to encourage their followers to go out and vote.
Pakistani celebrities who have cast their votes include Ayeza Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mawra Hocane, Quratulain Baloch, and Osman Khalid Butt.
They posted selfies with their inked thumbs on their Instagram account, motivating people to do the same.
The decisions we make today will determine the course of our next five years, so go out and vote.
Actor Hamza Ali Abbasi shared a photo for his followers on an Instagram story.
Actor Osman Khalid Butt also asked citizens to cast their vote.
Taking to Instagram and wrote: "What a beautiful day to go out and VOTE. Mobile phones and digital watches are not allowed inside the polling station.
"If you didn’t print your information (from messaging 8300), just memorise your block code and serial number or write it down before entering. It’ll help make the process easier."
Drama "Mein" famed star, Ayeza Khan posted a selfie on her Instagram account showing her thumb with the caption, "V O T E D ????????, Send your ID card number to 8300 to know your polling details."
"Woh Humsafar" singer Quratulain Baloch posted her picture as well.
Actress Mawra Hocane shared an update informing her followers that she is on her way to the polling station.
Actor Usama Khan posted a selfie, notifying his followers that he voted and so should they.
Actor and director Adnan Malik, too, posed with his inked thumb sharing the photo on his Instagram profile.
Actress Atiqa Odho, along with her family also went to vote.
Actress Fatima Effendi posted a picture with her husband, actor Kanwar Arsalan, with the caption: "Done with our part. Head out and do yours. Pakistan Zindabad."
The voting time, as per the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), began at 8am and will end at 5pm.
