Pakistan T20 skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi has shared an adorable photo with his wife with a sweet note on their first wedding anniversary.
The left-arm fast, who spearheads the Men in Green pace attack in all formats, turned to his Instagram late Saturday to wish his wife on the special occasion.
“Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary my soulmate, my lifeline!” wrote Shaheen with a picture with Ansha — the second daughter of former cricket celebrity Shahid Afridi — standing together.
The couple was standing in front of a wall decorated with a huge bouquet posing their names with a celebratory message on their first nikkah anniversary.
“I will always be grateful to you for all the things that you have done for me and that made my heart swell with joy. Thank you for being my strength throughout the year. Here’s to many many more years to come, In shaa’Allah,” the post read.
Shaheen and Ansha had taken the nuptial vows in a beautiful daytime private ceremony in Karachi on February 3 last year.
Later on September 19, 2023, the 23-year-old took his wife home after a grand rukhsati (seeing off) ceremony hosted by Afridis at a local hotel in the port city while the valima was held on September 21.
