Renowned fashion designer and ardent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporter, Khadija Shah, has again embarked on her professional journey, following months of detention in the May 9 riots case.
The fashion designer faced allegations related to her alleged involvement in the May 9 riots following the arrest of PTI founder Imran Khan on corruption charges. An anti-terrorism court in Quetta granted her bail last month in the last of four May 9 cases.
Shah voluntarily surrendered to the Punjab police in Lahore on May 23 last year. The designer, in a recent Instagram post, announced her return to the helm of creativity with a compelling poster proclaiming, "Our creative Director Khadijah Shah is back: Elan Reignites."
Expressing gratitude to her loyal Pakistani followers, Shah attributed her return to their unwavering support. In her heartfelt caption, she acknowledged, "I am eternally grateful to our Pakistani followers for their unmitigated support and love. I believe it was the power of your collective prayers that brought me home, and I am certain of that."
Asserting her rejuvenated commitment, Shah declared, "Now, I am back with more zeal, passion, and creativity than ever before." Embracing her leadership role at Elan and Zaha, she envisages scripting a chapter of renewal, innovation, and cutting-edge design.
Affirming her dedication to Pakistan, Shah expressed, "Pakistan has always been, and always will be, my first and foremost love. I am committed to continuing to serve and strive for my country and its people."
Undeterred by challenges, she pledged to uphold her mission of making Pakistan proud through her creative endeavours.
Khadija Shah's unwavering loyalty to the PTI has earned her acclaim within the party circles and on social media. In a landscape where some chose different political paths parting ways with the party, Shah stood firm in her commitment to PTI, eschewing the trend of defections.
The May 9 protests, a pivotal moment in PTI's history, led to widespread arrests of thousands of PTI workers and supporters across the country.
Laying out a plan, Shah mentioned, "With your ongoing support and blessings, inshallah, we will achieve great things and produce our best work yet."
