Passing through a traffic jam? Not really fun. Getting Lionel Messi's autograph while waiting at a signal? Another tale.
One fortunate fan, who was following Lionel Messi while driving, was the one who threw an Argentina jersey through the Inter Miami player's passenger side window as the video of the event went viral very fast on social media.
Messi reached over and signed the jersey, then used the same window to give it back to the fan. Before both of them were spotted driving off, the two shook hands and the fan thanked Messi.
Last season, Messi made six appearances for Inter Miami (four of which were starts), with one goal and two assists. With a 9-7-18 record, Inter Miami is currently ranked 14th in the Eastern Conference.
The eight-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi supported Argentina to victory in the FIFA Men's World Cup of 2022. With seven goals and three assists in the tournament finale, the 36-year-old great was unbeaten.
On February 21, Inter Miami hosts Real Salt Lake to kick off the 2024 Major League Soccer season. Messi and company will be wearing new jerseys when they play.
