Cody Rhodes bags WWE Royal Rumble 2024
Bayley walked away with the win in Women's Royal Rumble
American Nightmare Cody Rhodes on Sunday won the Men's Royal Rumble 2024 for the second time in a row, Pink Villa reported.
The winner will now be making his way to World Wrestling Entertainment WWE's most sought-after event — the Wrestle Mania.
The match held at Tropicana Field in Florida was an entertaining event that saw some surprising winners.
In the women's match, Bayley walked away with the win while in the title matches, both Logan Paul and Roman Reigns managed to defend their titles.
Rhodes has broken a 26-year record by winning the Royal Rumble twice in a row. The last man to achieve the record was Stone Cold Steve Austin.
There have been a total of 37 Royal Rumble matches, and only 10 people have won the Royal Rumble twice, and only three have won the Royal Rumble back-to-back.
Here’s a list of WWE superstars who won Royal Rumble twice in a row:
1. Hulk Hogan
known as the first global star to represent WWE on the world level, Hulk Hogan was the first WWE star to win the Royal Rumble two times and in a row back to back.
2. Shawn Micheals
Known as "The Heartbreak Kid," Michaels is considered one of the greatest star wrestlers of all time, having won numerous championships, including the Royal Rumble twice.
3. Steven Austin
Stone Cold Steve Austin is the only WWE superstar to win three royal rumbles in a row.
