The United States is home to some of the most remarkable examples of innovative architecture, both great and little, in the entire globe with most of its skyscrapers present in New York City.

Following are the top 10 tallest buildings in the United States, according to the Collector.

 1. One World Trade Centre, New York (1,776 feet)

The One World Trade Centre was constructed on the site of the old North Tower of the original Twin Towers World Trade Centre buildings that were destroyed on September 11, 2001. It was first opened to the public in 2014. Currently regarded as the tallest structure in the United States, this commercial office building has 94 storeys that rise 1,776 feet into the sky.

2. Central Park Tower, New York (1,550 feet)

Central Park Tower, another skyscraper in New York City, is situated on "Billionaire's Row" and houses 98 storeys of private domestic apartments for some of the city's wealthiest residents. At 1,550 feet, Central Park Tower is undoubtedly the second-tallest structure in the whole United States.

3. Willis Tower, Chicago (1,450 feet)

Although many still refer to the building by its previous name, Sears Tower, the structure's naming rights were sold to the London-based brokerage Willis Group in 2009. The third-tallest skyscraper in the United States, this imposing modernist masterpiece rises to a height of 1,450 feet and boasts an astounding 108 storeys. When it opened in 1973, it was the world's tallest skyscraper, and it held that title for an additional 25 years.

4. 111 W 57th St, NY/Steinway Tower (1,428 feet)

The catchier name for this architectural wonder, Steinway Tower, alludes to the renowned Steinway & Sons piano store that is located at the base of the skyscraper, which is 111 West 57th Street. Once a popular destination for musicians to gather, Steinway's declining revenue forced them to sell the property to the developers who were in charge of building the tower. Steinway Tower is the fourth-tallest structure in the United States, standing at 1,428 feet tall with 84 storeys.

5. One Vanderbilt, New York (1,401 feet)

When One Vanderbilt in New York opened its doors in 2020, the public was captivated by its 93 storeys that reached 1,401 feet into the sky. The building has several commercial office spaces in addition to being a tourist destination thanks to its expansive observation deck, exhibition space, and interactive visitor area located on the 73rd floor.

6. 432 Park Avenue, New York (1,396 feet)

The towering block of 104 individual apartments at 432 Park Avenue opened for business in 2015. It instantly cracked the top ten list of the highest structures in the United States at 1,396 feet. These opulent, private apartments are among the most exclusive homes in the entire nation, with prices reaching tens of millions for each.

7. Trump Int’l Hotel and Tower, Chicago (1,388 feet)

Regardless of your political or personal inclinations, there's no doubt that Chicago's Trump International Hotel and Tower is among the country's tallest structures. This enormous tower, which is 1,388 feet high and contains 98 floors of real estate, is a combination of retail, residential, and hotel rooms. 

8. 30 Hudson Yards, New York (1,296 feet)

Since its debut in 2019, this striking building, which rises to a height of 1,296 feet and 103 storeys, has served as the home of some of the most prominent companies in the city, including CNN and Warner Bros. With a transparent floor observation deck on the hundredth storey and a modern café and bar on the 101st floor, the building is also a well-liked tourist destination.

9. Empire State Building, New York (1,250 feet)

The Empire State Building, an Art Deco masterpiece with 102 storeys that rise 1,250 feet into the sky, is still among the top ten tallest structures in the United States. It was one of the city's first real skyscrapers. Since its opening in 1931, the Empire State Building has been a real symbol of New York City, capturing the attention of people all over the world as the tallest structure ever constructed.

10. Bank of America Tower, New York (1,200 feet)

The Bank of America Tower, which is 1,200 feet tall and has 55 storeys, houses the company's international corporate and investment banking businesses. It was inaugurated in 2009. Regrettably, the skyscraper has become well-known for its astronomical carbon emissions.
