Amir Khan, the former world boxing champion, has opened a brand-new, opulent wedding location in Bolton that is close to a car wash and fly-tipping area.
The opulent structure, called "The Balmayna," boasts striking features including glass walls, an interior waterfall, and palm trees, in addition to lush vegetation and floral arrangements, according to Daily Mail.
The venue, however, is still encircled by a construction site and positioned between two car washes, even though its website advertises that it will provide a "royalty experience" and "a touch of magnificence and excellence in every celebration." It is scheduled to open in February.
'It's an absolute eyesore!!!! A blot on the landscape!!! It's a huge lack of class! It also doesn't look anything at all like the image portrayed," one resident in the neighbourhood wrote on Instagram, expressing how unhappy they are with the design.
The 37-year-old Khan has been organising "The Balmayna," which means "enamelled" in Arabic, since 2013. Although the complex's surroundings still seem mostly incomplete, reservations are already being accepted.
Before announcing their split in 2017, he wed Makhdoom in 2013 and the two had two kids. He accused heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua of having an affair with his wife in the same year.
Since then, he and Makhdoom have made amends, and they co-starred in the BBC TV show "Meet the Khans."
Following the announcement on their Instagram page that reservations are being accepted, Balmayna wrote: "With immense joy, the wait is nearly over! We will soon unveil the grand opening of@thebalmayna, Bolton's newest wedding haven. A splendid project between Excellency Midlands and Amir Khan, where elegance seamlessly meets excellence."
