Alia Bhatt achieves notable milestone at Joy Awards 2024

Alia Bhatt was felicitated with an Honorary Award at the Joy Awards 2024, which took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on January 20.

The actress received the prestigious trophy because of her notable contribution to the cinema.

Donning a beautiful traditional Ajrak print saree, Bhatt delivered a heartfelt award acceptance speech on stage.

While expressing her immense gratitude, the Dear Zindagi actress said, "It's a privilege to be here in this nation, the nation that is currently doing so much to unite us all and bring us all under one roof in the name of cinema."

She added, "It doesn't happen very often when countless talents from the West, and East come together under one roof and celebrate each other. So thank you for making this happen. It's truly an extraordinary night." 

The actress, who is at the peak of her acting career, also expressed her love for movies and cinema.

Bhatt concluded her speech, saying, "One of the things, if we are talking about joy, one of the greatest things in our lives is love. So tonight when I go back home, I take back with me the love of the movies and the love that I felt here in Riyadh. So thank you so much, and here's to the magic of the movies."

On the professional front, Bhatt was last seen in Karan Johar's blockbuster film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, alongside Ranveer Singh.
