Smooth user experience is what drives Meta-owned WhatsApp that consistently strives to improve its features through updates.
While most users generally welcome new features, there are times when some updates are not well-received.
Nevertheless, the green-coloured messaging platform is introducing a new feature through the Google Play Beta Program, elevating the version to 2.24.2.17, according to WABetaInfo.
The WABetaInfo website says the upcoming feature appears to be exciting as the platform will enable the transfer of channel ownership.
In an announcement on his WhatsApp channel, Mark Zuckerberg said the platform is working on tools to ensure that channel owners manage their channels with ease.
A screenshot shared by the WhatsApp news tracker showed that there’s a new feature to transfer the ownership of the channel within the channel.
This feature will enable owners to transfer their rights to another admin of their choosing.
“This feature is designed to enhance the flexibility and adaptability of WhatsApp channels, enabling transitions in the event of personal decisions by the current channel owner,” it added.
