'The Academy' honoured Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol by sharing 'DDLJ' song

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol recently featured on The Academy's official Instagram page, which left their fans excited.

The iconic Bollywood couple's song, Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna, from their till-date hit film, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, was featured on The Academy's official Instagram page.

Shah Rukh and Kajol portrayed the roles of Raj and Simran, respectively, in the 1995 musical romantic film.

Alongside the clip of the popular track, the caption of the shared post read, "Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol performing the classic song "Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna" from 1995's 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.'"

As the post went viral on social media, Shah Rukh and Kajol's fans showered love for their favourite pair in the comments section.

One fan wrote, "The Academy posting this makes me emotional. These two have contributed so much to Bollywood and I look forward to the day that they are honoured as well."
