Bruce Edward Bell, a 71-year-old convicted serial bank robber, was taken into custody by Southern California police for allegedly robbing a bank in Los Angeles of $64,000 in cash on another occasion.
Bruce is being charged with several felonies, including kidnapping, in relation to the armed robbery that occurred in Sun Valley, a neighbourhood located in the northern part of the San Fernando Valley, late last month according to USA Today.
"Bell entered the location, grabbed an employee and pointed a firearm."According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the heist took place on December 21, 2023.
According to the police, Bell made the worker approach a door with restricted access, requested to be let into the safe, and threatened to shoot the worker if he was not allowed admittance.
Once inside, Bell gave the instruction to another employee to fill a bag with cash and the employee complied.
After that, the armed suspect made off with almost $64,000, according to the authorities.
In a police-released image, the suspect is shown brandishing a gun while donning a black ski mask, sunglasses, a black helmet, a grey scarf, and a black jacket with an orange stripe.
